Design & Purpose: Unfinished scotia is designed to cover the expansion gap between the flooring and the wall or baseboard, similar to quarter round, but with a more concave profile. Its unfinished surface allows for custom staining or painting to match the flooring or decor. The scotia molding fits neatly into the corner where the floor meets the wall, providing a smooth transition and a clean, polished look. It also serves to protect the edges of the flooring while concealing any imperfections or gaps at the perimeter, ensuring a seamless and customizable finish.
